<p>We recently completed two years of web marketing and branding strategies management for this <strong>Expedited Courier Group</strong>, including developing a new brand; repurposing advertising and marketing products to generate a new image for the business and revamped the website to present a modern and fresh look and, and offer visitors some interactive elements.</p>
<h2>We position this company in the first page of GOOGLE with more the 10 keywords</h2>
<p>The true backbone of this website &#8211; <strong>the keywords and HTML</strong>. Careful research and meticulous execution led to the website earning the top position in the <strong>ORGANIC SEARCH</strong> on Google for several keywords.<br />
While we never promise a first-place ranking, our efforts will always strive to achieve as high a ranking as possible, based on market conditions and budget. However, as you can see in these graphics, keywords like <strong>“Baltimore Courier Service” </strong>and <strong>“Expedited Courier”</strong> are at the top of the first page on Google.</p>
<p>This high-level positioning has led to the company receiving calls from all over the state of Maryland and the DC area, other parts of the U.S., and even a few from other countries!</p>
<p>Additionally, we are preparing to launch an offline marketing campaign to reinforce the brand locally and in the Mid Atlantic region, as well as to promote the companies new line of services customized to its clients’ needs. If well marketed, they have the potential to increase the business’ visibility. Because courier companies are constantly changing and updating the way they do business, we worked with them to start a new online publication to keep the current and prospective customer base updated about new services.</p>
<p><strong>Results <em></em></strong></p>
<p>Since we started our services:</p>
<ul>
<li>Monthly visitors increased by <strong>919%</strong></li>
<li>Page views increased <strong>by 280%</strong></li>
<li>The Pay Per Click campaign generated <strong>574,981</strong> page views.</li>
<li>They have reported that new business coming from the online campaign generated sales in <strong>the ten thousands!</strong></li>

<p>Apreciado amigo,</p>
<p>I would like to share with you great news that will make many of you proud of living in Maryland. In May of 2009, I was appointed by Governador Martin O’Malley as a Commissioner for the Real Estate Commission of Maryland. It was a real honor and a great opportunity to represent Marylanders from the consumer point of view.</p>
<p>I welcome any suggestions, advice and ideas because this commission works for you to protect your rights. I am not just proud to be a recent citizen of this country for the benefits that I am now able to reap, but for the civil duties that I am able to embrace. Being part of the Board of the Real Estate Commission will help me start pin-pointing any issues that the community has and allow me to be the voice that represents you.</p>

<p>That is according to research from Fasthosts, which found one-in-five firms believe under-investment in this matter is likely to have a poor effect on their sales for the first quarter of 2011.</p>
<p>SEO services may be one way to address this situation, as 41 percent of those quizzed admitted they do not fully optimize their search engine positions.</p>
<p>It was noted that 28 percent of small companies have a full understanding of their visitor numbers, perhaps suggesting they would benefit from further assistance in the matter.</p>
<p>Marketing director Steve Holford said: &quot;For many small firms, battling for <a href="http://www.openglobalmarketing.com/poor-online-marketing-may-negatively-affect-sales">online visibility</a> can be a real stress and seem too daunting a challenge to take on.&quot; However, he explained that there are plenty of options to enhance search engine positions and gain a better understanding of online marketing.</p>
<p>Search Engine Land columnist Eric Enge recently suggested firms also have a separate SEO strategy for local customers, which may be an extra option to consider.</p>

<p>						I recently became an USA citizen. It was one of the most thrilling experiences; an eye opening opportunity for me. Many foreigners who have been doing the immigrant career like me, starting from a tourist visa to a working visa and then a residency, should apply for their citizenship as soon as possible.</p>

<p>There is a huge world of opportunities ahead, like the right to vote and vote early. I voted early and in addition to selecting the Governor of my state of Maryland, I also selected the Senator, Congressman, District Attorney and voiced my opinion on important local legislation that might affect my pocket in the future. As a new citizen, I am able to apply for federal jobs and contracts. This is a huge advantage that I have in front of me. Also the possibility to represent Hispanics in positions where is necessary to be a citizen.</p>
<p>As a marketing strategy, early voting has the possibility of previewing the future.  No matter which party is leading, they can use it to continue their lead or the underdog can wake up and put more resources in the last week in other states. This is a good marketing tool because you can have instant information about your future results. A good marketer knows that instant information and live statistics can optimize the way you spend your budget.  For that reason, get up from your desk and go vote early! And for current residents, please apply for your citizenship as soon as you can. Y que viva AMERICA.</p>

<p>This article might look like repetitive for some of you, but there are many non-profits that have not been adapted fully to the new social media boom. Here are five points to successfully convince your Executive Director (or you) about the benefits of using social media in your organization.</p>
<p>The non-profit world has been always reluctant to adapt new technologies. Sometimes they stick to proven techniques and are attached to their Grantors or Founders as a source of income. The new online landscape has changed and nonprofits are <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="http://www.slideshare.net/munozjua/socialmedia-openglobalmarketing10-09">flocking to the social web,</a></span> although mostly in the last two years. Nonprofit organizations that have embraced social media in a short period of time have  see astonishing results. But still the masses of nonprofits act late.</p>
<p>Social media is beginning to transform nonprofit show in the way they work as well as their relationships with their donors.</p>
<p>Here are <strong>five points</strong> about how this is happening:</p>
<p><strong>1. Building stronger relationships with donors and constantly updating them.</strong></p>
<p>Over the past two years, one of the non-profits that we advise have been seeing an increase in their current donor list and have tripled their prospective donor list. <a href="http://www.nicaclinic.org">The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic</a>, an emergency and primary care clinic located in the south of Nicaragua created a blog to  inform their prospective donors about their project while the current donors get a different and more personalize email about their semester performance. Now, the conversion rate using this technique is around 15% compared with 3% in previous years. Many people  identify with the project but are not ready to donate immediately. Once you keep them informed they feel at ease to send their money for a good cause! Also we updated the website to make it more donor-friendly, creating different programs and different levels of donations. <p><strong>2. Individuals &amp; small groups are self-organizing around non-profit causes</strong></p>
<p>Social media is enabling individuals to create, join, and grow groups around issues they care about outside of the direct control of a non-profit. Whether it is healthcare issues, <a href="http://www.mdhcc.org">minority women owned business</a> or fundraising events activities, you can communicate easily by email or using a tweeter account. One example is the <a href="http://www.mdhcc.org">Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce</a> where we created a <a href="http://linkedin.com/groups?home=&amp;gid=2603075">LINKEDIN profile</a> as a group to advertise their events. They also have the regular newsletter and their website.  We have created a PowerPoint presentation that teaches you the difference between <a href="http://www.slideshare.net/munozjua/socialmedia-openglobalmarketing10-09">Social Media and Search Engine Optimization.</a></p>
<p>Social software design is also helping accelerate this trend. Look no further than the <a href="http://apps.facebook.com/causes/birthdays/new?m=70fd4329">Facebook Causes Birthday application</a> that encourages an individual who is a member of a Cause to use their birthday as an excuse to raise money for a non-profit organization. DonorsChoose recently launched a similar feature called “<a href="http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/motherboard.html?motherboardId=7&amp;utm_source=Mob&amp;utm_medium=vanityURL&amp;utm_content=Katie040309&amp;utm_campaign=BDAY">Birthday Give Back</a>,” with Stephen Colbert leading the charge. And keep an eye out for more social apps with a conscience that will offer even more creative ways for supporters to self-organize and <a href="http://www.socialactions.com/changetheweb">take action</a> around causes.</p>
<p>As non-profits begin to engage their own communities in these online conversations, they are able to reach more people than ever before, and use less effort doing so. 100 letters sent to donors might cost around $350 including the time of putting them together and stuffing envelopes, plus printing and shipping but an Email campaign cost $0.02 cents per email on average.</p>
<p><strong>3. Facilitating collaboration with international and national organizations.</strong></p>
<p>The social web lets non-profit organizations connect and collaborate formally and informally with international organizations quickly and inexpensively. Nonprofit organizations are also collaborating with their supporters by using them as fundraising battalions. You can bring volunteers (well-known) or regular people within a big network and provide them the tools to fundraise in their name. One example of this is when people jump into running marathons and 5K races and  the contributions go towards a specific cause.</p>
<p>Another example is <a href="http://www.wearemedia.org">WeAreMedia</a>, a wiki project where over 100 non-profit technology professionals have pooled knowledge resources and developed training materials to help nonprofits learn how to use social media effectively.</p>
<p><strong>4. Social responsibility spreads faster in the green era.</strong></p>
<p>One of the perplexing things about corporate social responsibility (CSR) is that it has long meant different things to different people. To some, an action only counts as true CSR if it is unprofitable and hence motivated by altruism. Socially beneficial actions that increase profits are merely strategic CSR. However, even advocates of altruistic CSR admit that most CSR actions can be viewed through a strategic lens.  Nonprofits are taking advantage of this trend using specific causes and spreading the news in blogs and social media sites. This type of project also impact a community specifically when corporations feel identified with the project.</p>
<p><strong>4- A good cause is more important that the Mission of your Nonprofit<br />
</strong></p>
<p>We’re just at the beginning of seeing how social media is impacting how nonprofits engage with their supporters and do their work. As more and more nonprofits adopt social media and their practice improve over time, we will no doubt see a transformation of the nonprofit sector. <p>The element of trust is critical to nonprofits. People trust messages from friends and colleagues more than from organizations. A recent Aberdeen study on the value of online communities states that 77% of people trust friends, family, and other consumers above retailers and manufacturers.<br />

They had many questions about the increasingly popular trends of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Social Media. Some were unfamiliar with the concepts, while others were puzzled about where to start their journey up this “Kilimanjaro” of new technology.</p>
<p>However, the most common question was “Where should I put my money?” Do I build a website, run a blog, create a Facebook or LinkedIn account, what about initiating a Crowdsourcing campaign? The correct answer is “All of the above,” but you should focus a majority of your resources on two and execute them properly.</p>
