Our Team
Juan Muñoz is the Executive Director of OpenGlobalMarketing a marketing and online consulting agency that provides the tools necessary to drive customers and new sales to your website. Mr. Muñoz works with both start-ups and existing businesses to improve their online marketing strategies, improve acquisition and retention, developing new branding and executing very successful Public Relations campaigns. Mr. Muñoz attended the Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia and earned a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business. He complemented these studies with finance and marketing classes at Montclair State University. He began his career in 1996, working in the commercial area of the Bavaria Group (Colombia). He then applied his knowledge of capital markets on Wall Street at the investment bank Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was an analyst in the Emerging Markets Fixed Income Group specializing in Latin American markets. Mr. Muñoz has also worked with Dexia Local Credit of France, where he handled a Credit Risk portfolio for Latin America. In addition to his work in Marketing and Finance, Mr. Muñoz also dedicates time serving the Hispanic-American community. He serves as the Vice-Chairman for Nicaclinic.org a HealthCare Clinic located in a very remote area in Nicaragua. He also serves as the Secretary of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was recently appointed as a board member for Channel 75 in Maryland. Mr. Muñoz has been invited as a speaker on CNN in Spanish program EN EFECTIVO broadcasted throughout Latin America. His work has been featured in HISPANIC TRENDS and his financial advise syndicated in several Spanish publications like: LaBolsa.com (Spain), La Prensa (Panam´) Portafolio (Colombia) Rankia.com (Spain) and other publications.
He did Postgraduate studies in Information Systems Engineering in Polytechnical foundation of Catalonia Barcelona (Spain). In 2003 he started his doctoral studies in the department of Languages and Information systems in Polytechnical University of Catalonia, Barcelona - Spain. At the moment he writes articles on new technologies and information systems published in different portals and distributed freely. Mr. Villanueva is the founder of DesarrollandoWeb.com, he has worked for organizations in many countries as Spain, United States, Germany and Colombia among others. Since June 2004, he has specialized in the development of Information systems focused on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). He initiated his experience in E-marketing working as E-marketing director for Oxford Club in spanish, in charge of everything related with SEO activities and administering PPC campaigns. In this job he obtained a PageRank of 5 in 7 months.
